The Summer of Moonlight Secrets by Danette Haworth
Releases: May 25th 2010
A summer tale full of magical wonder and starring an unforgettable antebellum hotel
At The Meriwether, Florida’s famous antebellum hotel off of Hope Springs, nothing is quite as it seems.
Secret staircases give way to servants’ quarters and Prohibition-era speakeasies make for the perfect hide-and-seek spot.
Allie Jo Jackson knows every nook and cranny of The Meriwether—she’s lived there her whole life—and nothing surprises her, until the first time she spots the enigmatic and beautiful Tara emerging from the springs.
Tara’s shimmery skin, long flowing hair, and strange penchant for late moonlight swims disguise a mysterious secret—and once Allie Jo and her friend Chase discover Tara’s secret, nothing will ever be the same.
Plain Kate by Erin Bow
Releases: 2010
In a market town by a looping river there lived an orphan girl called Plain Kate …
Kate’s is a colorful world of brokenhearted magicians, wandering gypsy clans, carved charms and stolen shadows. It’s a dark world of ghosts, fog and questions. It’s a dangerous world of witch burnings, persecution and plague. Her story is a coming-of-age story, a story about family and belonging, trust and betrayal, bravery and sacrifice, death and what lies beyond. Also, there’s a talking cat in it.
What are you waiting on?

Great picks!! I didn't know about the first one so I'll be adding it! THANKS :D
The first one looks more like a MG to me, and I'm trying to stay away from those. The second sounds really amazing though. I emailed the author last night and she said the release date is September 1st right now.
These look like great books! Great picks :)
O I want the first one :)
Oh, I've got The Summer of Moonlight Secrets in my TBR Pile, and I can't wait to get started! =]
Great picks! I hadn't heard about either yet, so this is good news for me.
