News:

The actress and singer, Hilary Duff, will be working on a young adult series with the publishers at Simon & Schuster. Duff is set to publish her first novel, Elixir, in October. Also, Duff plans to write a nonfiction novel about children coping with divorce, which is said to release 2010. For more information, read the full article.

Summit Entertainment has optioned the idea of filmmaking the young adult Homelander series by Andrew Klavan. Klavan has a lot of great books turned into films, like: Don't Say a Word, and True Crime, but I'm super excited about this option. I absolutely love his Homelander series!

My Soul to Reap by Courtney Allison Moulton has it's official jacket description. I personally can't wait to read this one.

Books to Watch For:

Laura Riken’s dystopian debut Cybernetic is about a 16-year-old girl who lives in a walled city surrounded by bloodthirsty beasts, and also threatened by rival armies of cybernetic soldiers who want to enslave humanity. It is set for publication in the summer of 2012 for two books.

Sarah Maas’s Queen of Glass: Eye of the Chosen is about an infamous young assassin who is more than she seems and who must battle her way to freedom in a corrupt kingdom where magic has been outlawed. Not sure when publication is.

The Witchlanders by Lena Coakley is a haunting fantasy about a teen who discovers that his soul-brother is a boy from among his people’s gravest enemies, and that they must work together to overcome the bitter history that divides them to avert the imminent war between their lands. Not sure about publication.
