This is very exciting news to me because I LOVE The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare!There is going to be a 4th book in the series - City of Fallen Angels. This book follows Simon as he adjusts to his new life as a vampire. Right now, it's set to publish in March 2011.

Summary - Love, blood, betrayal and revenge - the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels. Simon Lewis is having some trouble adjusting to his new life as a vampire, especially now that he hardly sees his best friend Clary, who is caught up in training to be a Shadowhunter - and spending time with her new boyfriend Jace. Not to mention that Simon doesn't quite know how to handle the pressure of not-quite-dating two girls at once. What's a daylight-loving vampire to do? Simon decides he needs a break and heads out of the city - only to discover that sinister events are following him. Realizing that the war they thought they'd won might not yet be over, Simon has to call on his Shadowhunter friends to save the day - if they can put their own splintering relationships on hold long enough to rise to the challenge.

And there is going to be a movie for The Mortal Instruments too!!

Full of twists and turns that will knock you socks off. City of Glass was a perfect ending to a fantastic series.

I finally got the one question answered, which I have been trying to figure out since the first book, and I’m sure many others have too. Are Clary and Jace really brother and sister? Well, I know…but I’m not going to tell you, you will have to read it to find out. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Along with our old characters, we get introduced to a new and mysterious guy named Sebastian.

Throughout the book, Cassandra Clare continued to amaze me with all the twists and surprises hiding around every corner. I absolutely love these books, and I am sad to see them end. But like I said before, this book was a great way to end everything. I am looking forward to reading more of Cassandra Clare’s work.

She still has feelings for Jace, but the fact that he’s her brother makes things that much more harder. Then there’s Simon and their relationship, which just moved to a new level. To make matters worse, Valentine is back and has stolen another mortal instrument, the soul sword. Can they stop him in time?

Amazing! I can’t seem to get enough of these books. Cassandra Clare’s writing is great. I feel like everything there isn’t what it seems to be. For example, Clary and Jace’s “brother-sister” relationship. Are they really? I can’t wait to find out in the next, and final installment.

It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know…

Wow! What a great way to start out a trilogy. City of Bones is very original; I haven’t read anything like it before. Taking place in New York City, the plot is so twisted and full of surprises with each flip of the page. I was immediately hooked from page one all the way to the end. I felt as though the characters were very well-developed – even the side characters. You got Jace, Alec, and Isabelle, who are Shadowhunters and are invisible to humans. Except, Clary Fray can see them. From the moment she meets them, she gets sucked into the Shadowhunting world and from then on strange things begin to occur. Clary’s mother suddenly goes missing, and Clary finds herself being attacked by demons.

I most definitely recommend it for those of you, like me, who have a special love to explore the otherworldly. This book has it all! It’s fast-paced, funny, and dark, filled with twists and turns around every corner, and includes Shadowhunters, werewolves, vampires, angels, fairies, and warlocks. I enjoyed every minute of reading City of Bones and I can’t wait to read the sequel.
